G. B. Pant University of Agriculture, Pantnagar, Udham Singh Nagar
On 24th April 2006, a Technical seminar on Bird Flu was organized at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture, Pantnagar, Udham Singh Nagar by Uttaranchal Poultry Farmers Association & University. Dr. P. L. Gautam, Vice Chancellor of the University was Chief Guest. Around 350 people including (250 farmers) attended the seminar. On the behalf of Intervet India, Dr. B. K. Agnihotri, Dr. Arvind Bhargava, Mr. Ashish Tyagi and Dr. Ravi Kumar attended the seminar. Dr. Ravi Kumar gave a presentation on ‘Avian Influenza - Global Prevention Strategies’. Other companies which were invited for presentation were VHL & Skylark Hatcheries Jind besides scientists from University & IVRI.
