CII is organizing a series of Agri Expo’s across the country from 2004, however Agri Expo in North East Sector had a different dimension looking at the location, the logistics required and the man and machinery movement to the far east. CII was literally after many industry partners in convincing them to participate. We were one of the early birds to confirm and got a complimentary stall of 48 Sq Meter, where other companies paid Rs 50000/- for a 12 Sq Meter stalls in the CII pavilion.
An attractive stall with posters, danglers banners and rotaglow was a constant attention of visitors. Starting from MOA, Sharad Power to MOA, MOE, MO AH, MOI-Nagaland Govt visited our stall and Sharad Powerji while seeing Intervet stall, exclaimed, “ Oh!! My Pune people”. Animal Husbandry staffs, ICAR scientists, Vets from Vety colleges, practicing Vets from field, poultry, dairy and pig farmers poured in our stall and four of us had a tiring but enjoying time in explaining Intervet and its unique products and services. More than 570 people registered their detail in our register and this database will be very handy for us in building the renewed business in this sector. We have procured order for more than Rs 100,000/- in our stall itself. Our stall was always full of visitors and as per CII it was one of the best stalls in the Expo.
We were one amongst a few of the industries invited in the dinner hoisted by Mrs and MOA Sharad Powerji and the CM of Nagaland was the chief Guest. We could do a good networking with many key contacts there. Representatives from Dutch Embassy were also present.
For the new North East team, Dr. Dilip Sarma, Dr. Ajay Das and myself Abhijit Ojha, it was a great opportunity and experience to host such a big show of Intervet. Being in the remotest corner, we were excited to be party to the mainstream and such a high voltage activity. Presence and guidance of Dr Tarun Pal added an extra feather to our pride cap. North East Team assures the organization to encash all dividends from this expo and put all out efforts to prove the investment made.
