In case the inactivated IB vaccine is not used or when it is necessary to vaccinate birds in lay the H-120 strain should be used; revaccination every 3
months.
II. Broilers
H-120 at 1 to 3 weeks of age, drinking water or oculo/nasal or coarse spray.
Immunity and Vaccination Reaction :
Duration and intensity of the vaccination reaction and the establishment of a solid immunity are dependent on the possible presence of maternal antibodies and in general on the health and condition of the birds. Hygiene and management are also important
in the post vaccination period.
The reaction after primary vaccination is mild. Slight respiratory disturbances may occur 4 to 7 days after vaccination. These symptoms will usually disappear within two weeks.
Immunity will set in one week after vaccination and will last for several weeks.
Emergency vaccination in birds in lay may provoke a fall in egg production, which will usually soon be restored.
