Cobactan LC® Intramammary

Composition:
Each  syringe contains : 75 mg cefquinome sulphate as active ingredient.

Indications :
For the treatment of clinical mastitis in lactating cows caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Stretococcus uberis, Stretococcus dysgalactiae, Escherichia coli  and other enterobacteria susceptible to cefquinome.In vitro, Cefquinome has antibacterial activity against common Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria including Salmonella spp. Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Corynebaterium pyogenes, Escherichia coli, A. pleuropneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus dysgalactiae  and Streptococcus uberis.

Dosage and administration:
Gently infuse the contents of one syringe into the teat canal of the infected quarter every 12 hours after each of 3 successive milkings.

Milk out the affected quarter(s). After thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the teat and teat orifice, gently infuse the contents of one syringe into each affected quarter. Disperse the product by gently massaging the teat and udder of the affected animal.

The syringe must only be used once, partially used syringes should be discarded.

Withdrawal Period:
7 milkings.
